Herpes Simplex

night always comes too late
the dream of milky way
never expecting the sun
let it rain

the ambush of the lights
scrape me a dead landscape
begin my threnode serenade

so alone the colorful paste
can't paint with what I like

determined and controlled
by droplets and antiviral

the only way to fall asleep
is to kill the ugly sight
I inhale the beautiful pangs
our little defect as human

(dedicated to those who suffer Herpes Zoster eye infection)
